DESIGN AND ENGINEERING WORK IN HARMONY

We supported Bombardier’s engineers in the train’s exterior and interior design as well as that of the engineer’s cab. To do our job, we carried out theoretical ergonomic analyses, and tested the results on scale models. We also assisted Bombardier in component technical development and sourcing of suppliers.

Creating a brilliant commuter experience

We conceived the master design of the passenger section including its seats, the bicycle and ADA spaces, as well as the train exterior and operator command post. All was done with a view to ensuring the ergonomics met the highest standards and needs of riders, determined by our user analysis. We went to the extent of building scale models, choosing the materials and finishes, and designing the train’s interior and exterior looks.
